Description

The WACP-1B is Nauticam’s compact “dry” water contact optic — a true underwater lens, not a simple dome. It takes a 28mm-equivalent lens and corrects it in-water to an ultra-sharp 130° field of view, holding critical sharpness edge-to-edge at apertures where a conventional dome port would already be showing softness in the corners. Because the correction happens inside the optic itself, the housing’s own zoom and focus gears keep working normally, so full zoom-through and autofocus are retained. An aluminum float collar is built into the barrel, bringing the WACP-1B to near-neutral buoyancy in water (−0.01 kg) even though it is a substantial 3.70 kg on the boat, and the port mount is field-interchangeable between N120 and N100 without tools.

The WACP-1B pairs with a wide range of 28mm-equivalent primes and zooms across Nikon, Canon, Sony and Super35 cinema systems. Because supported lenses vary by camera and housing, always check Nauticam’s WACP port chart (or ask us) before ordering, as some combinations need an extension ring or port adapter.
